Itinerary

Arrive Accra, meet assist on arrival, and transfer to hotel. This evening there will be a welcome dinner plus an orientation session which includes a lecture/discussion on African culture. Tailors and dressmakers will be in attendance for those interested in custom made African outfits.

In the morning, we visit the National Museum of Ghana to explore the country's history and cultural evolution. We then head to the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, a tribute to Ghana's first President, featuring artifacts and a scenic park. Next is the W.E.B. Du Bois Center, honoring Dr. Du Bois's legacy with his library and final resting place, hosting educational events. Finally, the vibrant Arts Center showcases local crafts and cultural performances.

Embark on a captivating journey through African history and culture at two significant heritage sites: the Nkyinkyim Museum and the Ancestral Wall. Nkyinkyim Museum located in Nuhalenya-Ada, the Nkyinkyim Museum is an evolving cultural space blending African art and history. This morning, we embark on a 4 Hour drive journey to Cape Coast with a poignant stop at Assin Manso to experience the Slave River. Here, individuals captured during the transatlantic slave trade took their last bath on African soil before being transported to the Americas. This site offers a profound and reflective insight into the harrowing history of the slave trade. Cape Coast Castle is one of the most significant historical sites in Ghana, reflecting the somber history of the transatlantic slave trade. Originally established by the Portuguese in 1555 and later developed by the Swedish Africa Company in 1653, Cape Coast Castle was a major trading post for gold and enslaved people.

Elmina Castle, also known as St. George's Castle, is located in Elmina, Central Region of Ghana. Built by the Portuguese in 1482, it is the oldest European building in sub-Saharan Africa. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a poignant reminder of the transatlantic slave trade. In the afternoon, head to Kakum National Park, where you'll find the famous canopy walkway. In the morning, we embark on a long drive back to the capital, Accra. After hours on the road, we'll take a well-deserved rest and gear up for an evening of nightlife. Let's have some fun!
